Lee Capristo LSM'11 made masks and donated them to the St. Mary's County Department of Emergency Services.

Christina Johannsen LSM'19 Jen Brown LSM'19, Sandy Dorsey LSM'19, & Ed Rule LSM'18 aseembled 40 bagged lunches to be donated to The Mission and distributed to St. Mary's County's in-need population.

1. Here For Good Maryland - this program offers small locally owned businesses the opportunity to create a t-shirt design and place it on the Here For Good MD web store.  There is ZERO cost for businesses to do this.  To shop the site, go to HERE.
2. MOSD is printing FREE banners for restaurants to promote their curb side / delivery options.  
3. MOSD is also manufacturing masks.  Masks are sized from infant to Adult XL they can be personalized.  These are for sale so the company can keep its employees working, but a portion of all proceeds are donated to health care and first responders.

Looking for more ways to help?  

• SoMD Loves You has put out a request to the community to help sew medical gowns.  SoMD Loves You is a nonprofit organization that is just over a month old and provides PPE for hospitals, medical professionals, and nursing homes to help combat COVID-19.  If you or someone you know enjoys sewing, this is a great opporunity to put your skills to great use.  This may also be an opportunity for high school students to earn service hours.
• St. Mary's County Food Bank "Feed St. Mary's" is holding a food drive through May 31.  If we can increase its resources, it will get food and other needed items out to all local food pantries. Go to https://feedstmarys.org/ donate/

In response to the recent directives from federal and state government, Leadership Southern Maryland (LSM) is canceling all remaining scheduled events for May, 2020 including Graduation L.S.M. 

In addition, the 8th Annual Golf Tournament originally slated for June 5 will be rescheduled for next June.

LSM believes that public health and safety are top priorities.  We will re-evaluate if the timeline must be extended as the ever evolving situation changes over the next few weeks. We ask our “LSM family” to continue to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Maryland Health Department guidance.
