Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington strengthens the lives of all in need – non-Catholics and Catholics alike – by giving help that empowers and hope that lasts. We affirm and support the dignity of all human life, strengthen families, and serve the poor and most vulnerable.

What Your Gift Will Do:

This Giving Tuesday, we’re raising funds to strengthen the safety net for our Southern Maryland neighbors including facing challenging times and ensuring no family goes without shelter, and no one in our community goes hungry. When you give, you’re providing: A safe haven and hope of new beginnings to families experiencing homelessness or crisis at Angel’s Watch, allowing them to stabilize, health, and build a brighter future. You’re also helping fight food insecurity by filling our Southern Maryland Food Bank and making sure food reaches individuals, families, children, and senior citizens in our community who are at most risk. Every dollar invested strengthens the foundation of our Southern Maryland community, helping our neighbors weather life’s storms and ensuring Southern Maryland remains a safe place to call home with food on the table and safe housing.

Volunteer Opportunities:

We have opportunities ranging from providing and serving meals at Angel’s Watch shelter, helping stock shelves in our warehouse at the Southern Maryland Food Bank, as well as other additional opportunities are available.
