At the Leadership Table, we hear from a cross-section of Southern Maryland leaders intimately familiar with our region and our people. We are touched by stories from their lives and facets of their experiences they carry with them along their journey. As we explore topics through their eyes and through their hearts, feel the impact of their words, their compassion, and their courage. Perhaps they, too, will leave their imprint on you.

 “Letters from Leaders” is a collection of real stories, insights, and reflections from celebrated leaders across Southern Maryland. Series 1, “Leading from Where You Are,” explores the many ways leadership happens in everyday moments.

Podcast: Live at the Leadership Table

LSM’s Live at the Leadership Table podcast invites you to tune in to our recorded Leadership Table live events. In our first series (October through December 2026), we invite you to pull up a chair and hear about the leadership journeys of four remarkable leaders: Dr. Tuajuanda Jordan; Christina Taylor, LEAP ’22; Bonnie Green, LMd ’07; and Bert Johnston, LMd ’07.

About The Leadership Table with Matt Scassero

 Created in 2025 to engage Southern Marylanders in thoughtful conversations about timely subjects germane to leading in our community, The Leadership Table with Matt Scassero is a multi-media series showcasing the diverse voices and insightful perspectives of Southern Maryland’s most inspiring leaders.  

Letters from Leaders features essays penned by Southern Maryland game-changers, offering their unique perspectives on specific leadership themes.  Series 1, “Leading from Where You Are,” appeared in spring and summer 2025 with six letters exploring leadership in everyday moments. Series 2, “Leading from Who You Are” launches in January 2027.

In Leadership Table live events,  LSM Leadership Council Member Matt Scassero takes audiences deeper with authors through intimate public conversations. Participants break bread together and discuss ideas, life journeys, and “a-ha” moments shared in the letters, exploring how lessons can be applied to personal growth and the betterment of our community. 

The Live at the Leadership Table podcast, premiering in fall 2026, invites you into Leadership Table live events. These fascinating conversations are all recorded to share with you.
