Leadership Southern Maryland Announces Four New Board Members

Regional Leadership Program’s Board of Directors Welcomes New Members

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – June 2, 2015 – The Leadership Southern Maryland (LSM) Board of Directors announced today it elected four new members to the board:

Barry Friedman (LSM ’09) is a market manager with Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc.

Patrick Murphy (Leadership Maryland ’06) is an attorney with Robert Half | Protiviti | Protiviti Government Services

Karen O’Connor (LSM ’10) is a senior business developer with College of Southern Maryland

Sharmella Riggs (LSM ’15) is a P-8A acquisition manager with Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division

The Board of Directors also elected the following members to its executive committee for a one-year term:

Lee Capristo, president (LSM ’11), is a director of publications at St. Mary’s College of Maryland

John Felicitas, vice president (LSM ’13), is a retired K-12 educator and diversity consultant

Hartmuth Csanadi-Schwartz, treasurer (LSM ’14), is a chief business officer with ARC of Southern Maryland

Sharon Bouchard, secretary (LSM ’12), is a CH-53K requirements manager with Naval Air  Systems Command

Mark De Luca, immediate past president (LSM ’10), is a systems engineer with Holmes-Tucker  Int’l, Inc.

Leadership Southern Maryland is a tuition-based program specially designed to develop leaders from the Southern Maryland area for regional collaboration. The LSM program is dedicated to building a cadre of informed regional leaders, prepared to address common issues and bring long-term benefit to their neighbors and communities and incorporates a cross-section of the region to include diversity of geographic location, profession, ethnicity and gender.
