Our Mission:

Poiema Movement exists to move women and children from brokenness to restoration through Christ- centered transitional living and support. We provide safe housing and comprehensive, trauma-informed care that helps families rebuild after crisis. Through individualized case management, parenting support, workforce and life-skills training, financial empowerment, and a nurturing community, we equip women to heal, grow, and achieve lasting independence. Every program, class, and act of care points to one goal— restored lives and renewed purpose for every woman and child we serve.

What Your Gift Will Do:

This Giving Tuesday, you can help create something truly special—a playyard where mothers and children can laugh, grow, and heal together. The new El Roi House will soon open its doors to women and children rebuilding their lives after crisis. The rooms are furnished and ready, but one thing is still missing: a safe place to play. We’re partnering with PurePlay Everyday, a nonprofit that designs imaginative, purpose-driven play spaces for children. Together, we’ll build a playyard that nurtures joy, trust, and healing. When you give to Poiema this Giving Tuesday, you’re not just helping us—you’re also supporting PurePlay Everyday and their mission to create play environments that change lives. Your gift helps purchase and install a full playyard at El Roi House, giving children a place to belong and mothers a reminder that restoration can be playful, too. 👉 Give today and help build the playyard where healing begins—for every child, every mother, and every story of hope.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Imagine being part of someone’s fresh start. At Poiema, volunteers help rebuild lives and restore hope for women and children overcoming crisis. Your time and talents can make a real difference—mentoring a mom as she finds her footing, driving residents to work or appointments, caring for children during group nights, tutoring after school, teaching a class, facilitating a group, helping with fundraising, or serving at community events. Every role matters. When you serve, you join a movement of people who believe restoration takes all of us and that love in action changes everything.
