Our Mission:

SMCR promotes the inclusion of persons with developmental differences into the life of our community. We advocate for individuals with special needs, to recognize the inherent dignity that is theirs because they are members of our one human family.

What Your Gift Will Do:

Your donation will help to provide programs for people with disabilities. We provide monthly programs to provide our members with opportunities in order to enrich their lives. Members enjoy our programs at no to-little cost through our partnerships with businesses and organizations throughout the community.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteering with SMCR not only provides an opportunity to serve others but also an opportunity to encounter individuals with developmental differences. Contrary to the many misconceptions about them, individuals with developmental differences have many gifts to contribute to the rest of the community. We always need: buddies to help our members at programs instructors (various forms of art) Chefs (to teach cooking) General help with events (set up clean up)
