Our Mission:

The St. Mary’s River Watershed Association (SMRWA) seeks “to protect, improve and promote the sustainability of the St. Mary’s River Watershed through collaborative efforts with the economic, academic, environmental, agricultural, historical, social, cultural, political, and recreational stakeholders in the community.

What Your Gift Will Do:

It’s a difficult time to be an environmental nonprofit. While our revenue streams are diverse, we did have a two-year federal grant that runs out in January and unfortunately, that grant is unlikely to be renewed. Our programs are also getting bigger to help cover the gap left by Elms Environmental Education Center 1 closing and to better serve the needs of our community. Donations will help us continue our vital work of preserving, protecting, and promoting the sustainability of the St. Mary’s River.
